NURSE AIDE (CNA)

CNA’s report important and often crucial resident condition information to our nurses. Other responsibilities may include taking and recording residents’ vital signs, documenting a resident’s health status, cleaning rooms and bed linens, basic first aid, helping with meals, and much more. While the CNA position may be physically and mentally demanding, it is an incredibly rewarding position because of the lasting relationships you will build with coworkers and patients.

PROGRAM DURATION

  • Full Day – Monday & Thursday for 12 weeks – 9:00AM to 5:00PM
  • Half Day – Monday through Friday for 7 weeks – 8:00AM to 12:30PM
  • Evening – Tuesday & Thursday for 18 weeks – 5:30PM to 10:00PM
  • Each program includes a total of 100 hours on location and 40 hours of clinical practicum

EXPERIENCE

  • A high school diploma or GED is required to enroll
  • Must be able to read and write in English

FEES & REQUIREMENTS

  • Application: $30.00  |  non-refundable (includes cost of background check)
  • Deposit: $200.00  |  due two weeks before the start of class
  • Enrollment: $1,000  |  due the first day of the class (processing fees may apply for credit card or PayPal)

Completing this course will prepare you to take the National Nurse Aide Assessment Program (NNAAP) State Certification Examination, which is administered externally by the Virginia Board of Nursing. Upon passing this examination, you will be a fully licensed CNA.
